Privacy policy

Plain words, no ad trackers. Effective November 2026.

512cast is a video podcast studio in East Austin, Austin, TX, operated byTip Assistive Technologies LLC. This page explains what we learn about you through 512cast.com and our booking system, and what we do with it. Questions or requests:hello@512cast.com.

What we collect

  • When you browse. Your browser keeps a random visitor ID in local storage. With it we record the pages you open, how long you stay, the page or campaign that brought you here, your browser and approximate country. We store your IP address only as a one-way hash. We use this to see how the site is used and to connect your visits if you later contact us or book.
  • When you chat with Weirdie, our site assistant, we keep the conversation. Your messages are processed by an AI model through our provider to write the answers, so please don’t share anything sensitive there.
  • When you leave your details in the chat or write to us: your name, email or phone, and what you asked about.
  • When you book: your name, email, phone number, the time you booked and any comment. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
  • When you sign in: your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google or Apple.

How we use it

To run your booking (confirmation, calendar invite, reminders, refunds), to answer your questions, and to improve the site. We don’t sell personal information and we don’t use it for advertising.

Text messages

If you ask for a text reminder when you book, we use your mobile number only to send that reminder. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. Reply STOP to any text to stop them; see the SMS terms.

Who processes data for us

We use a few service providers, each only for its part of the job:

  • Stripe: payments and refunds.
  • Resend: emails (confirmations, reminders, sign-in codes).
  • Twilio: text reminders, if you ask for them.
  • OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to: answers in the site chat.
  • Google and Apple: sign-in, if you choose to use them.
  • Hetzner: the servers our site and database run on.

Cookies and storage

A sign-in cookie is set only when you sign in, to keep you signed in. Local storage holds the random visitor ID described above. We don’t use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

How long we keep it, and your choices

We keep booking and payment records as long as we need them for accounting and taxes. Anything else, including chats, contact details and your account, we delete when you ask: write to hello@512cast.com. You can also ask for a copy of what we have about you.

Children

The site and the studio aren’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
